The company's founder Jared has been a music teacher for the past 11 years, and during that time he has helped to encourage and nurture the passion and talents of many young people in music. "Seeing young people strive in their talent, and realize that music can be accessible for them is a great passion of mine" Upon moving to Christchurch a new opportunity presented itself, one to take what he had learnt as a teacher and music producer, and give back to the community. Professional music production, and audio visual recording of performances isn't always easily accessible, and can be very pricey, especially to those with family members facing terminal illness and/or other debilitating illnesses that could affect their talent. From this realization, the idea for "The Echo & Ember Project" was born.
The Echo & Ember Project offers professional and affordable audio and visual recording services for individuals facing terminal illness, dementia, or other conditions that may impact their memory or cognitive abilities. Our mission is to help preserve the music, songs, artistic talents, and memories of each individual, creating lasting keepsakes for families and loved ones. By capturing these personal expressions and creative moments, we ensure that the essence of each individual endures beyond loss, offering comfort, connection, and a timeless legacy for future generations.
Fully Portable for Ease & Comfort
At The Echo & Ember Project, we understand that travel can be physically and emotionally demanding—especially for individuals living with a terminal illness. For that reason, we have designed our entire studio setup to be fully portable, allowing us to bring a professional recording experience directly to you.
Instead of requiring you to travel to a studio, we come to your home with all necessary equipment and handle the full setup and breakdown. This allows recordings to take place in a familiar environment where you can feel safe, relaxed, and supported.
Our aim is to make the recording process as comfortable and accessible as possible, while maintaining the highest quality of sound and production. We approach every session with care, patience, and flexibility, ensuring the experience is gentle, respectful, and tailored to your needs.
